Mariana’s Mexico City Tours of Art Museums and Archaeological Sites
This lovely letter was written by Edgar Mendoza, the Concierge of Hampton Inn, Centro Histórico, Mexico City, where I stay with my tour guests. I’m so grateful to him for all his wonderful help! He makes my job a lot easier.
My next Mexico City tour is about to begin!
Some places we’ll visit are:
The Pyramids of Teotihuacán, Metropolitan Cathedral, Ciudadela Market, Justo Sierra Synagogue, Museo de Chocolate, Chapultepec Castle (home of Emperor Maxmilian), Mural Museo Diego Rivera, Museo Arte Popular (folk art museum), Palacio Bellas Artes, Museo Arte Moderno, Museo de Antropología, Museo Dolores Olmedo (newly re-opened), Museo Templo Mayor(the original city of Tenochtitlán that was discovered by Hernan Cortés), Casa Azul (house/museum of Frida Kahlo), Casa Roja (the newly opened beautiful house/museum of the younger Frida and her family), Casa Diego Rivera/Frida Kahlo House/Museum (where Diego and Frida lived together), Secretariat de Educación Pública (with over 100 murals by Diego Rivera), Museo Nacional de Arte and the newly opened beautiful Museo Textil - textiles of Indigenous and Afro-Mexican peoples, Biblioteca Miguel Lerdo de Tejada, Museo Soumaya.
Restaurants where we’ll eat:
El Cardenal, Casa de las Sirenas, Casa de Azulejos, Bar L’Opera, Azulisimo, Corazon de Maguey, Los Mercaderes Tezontle and others.
We walk a lot and my driver takes us places too far to walk. You need to be able to walk at least 6 city blocks at a good pace.
The cost for my tour is $1600 usd. This includes 5 days of my carefully planned tour guidance, transportation to and from sites visited and tickets to all museums.
Not included: Air fare to and from Mexico City, ride with my driver to and from Benito Juárez Airport, Hotel reservations, and meals in restaurants.
We stay in the Hampton Inn Centro, Calle 5 de Febrero 24, Centro Histórico, Centro, Cuauhtémoc, Ciudad de México, CDMX, México.
Breakfast in the Hampton Inn is free.
New Tour Dates for 2027:
